Kachi Keri Grantia tastes so refreshing and perfect way to beat the heat. Granita is an Italian frozen dessert. You must add this frozen treat to your bucket list this summer. When we went to Italy we tried different flavors of Granita and I was surprised how good it tasted. It was very similar to Ice Gola yet the texture was different.  It is extremely easy to make and requires few ingredients. The best part is that you can use any fruit and results will turn out the same. Every bite you take will have crunch in your mouth and the ice is going to melt. I promise you are going to love this desert too.

Kachi Keri Granita | Raw Mango Granita

Raw Mango Granita can be made in no time. You just need to puree the raw mango and add sugar, salt, lime juice and water. Freeze it and then scrape using a fork furthermore repeat the process. You don’t need ice cream maker or popsicle molds for this dessert and the results are just too good . It is a simple recipe and you can use any other fruit and repeat the process. The dessert is so refreshing and I am sure you will love it.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 medium sized raw mango
  • 3 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tablespoon lime juice optional
  • 1 cup water
  • 2-3 mint leaves
  • 2 slices of raw mango
  • 1/4 tsp red chili powder

Instructions
 

  • Cut the Raw Mango into pieces
  • Blend the raw mango in a blender
  • Add sugar, salt and lime juice and mix it well
  • Add water and mix it well
  • Freeze the mixture in a shallow pan for 8 hours
  • Once it is frozen, take it out of freezer and let it thaw for 30 minutes
  • Using a fork scrape the mixture till you see small flakey ice particles
  • Freeze it again for few hours
  • Let it thaw for 20 minutes and scrape it again
  • Serve the granita in a martini glass
