Equipment needed:
Mixing Bowl, waffle maker.
Storage:
For short-term storage, you can refrigerate the waffles. Place them in an airtight container or wrap them tightly with plastic wrap. This helps retain moisture and prevents them from drying out.
Serving suggestions:
Serve the waffles with a cooling yogurt sauce. Mix yogurt with chopped mint, cilantro, a pinch of salt, and a squeeze of lemon for a refreshing accompaniment. Explore different chutneys for a burst of Indian flavors. Mint chutney, tamarind chutney, or a spicy tomato chutney can be excellent choices.
Alternative ingredients:
Experiment with various herbs to enhance the flavor profile. Try dill, parsley, basil, or mint for a fresh and aromatic twist. Instead of or in addition to rice flour, try using chickpea flour (besan), almond flour, or whole wheat flour for added nuttiness and nutritional value.
Expert Tips:
Ensure that you pat dry the shredded zucchini after draining and squeezing to remove excess moisture thoroughly. This helps in achieving a crispier waffle.
