Whipped Feta Dip has been by latest obsession . I have tried it many different ways and it tastes so delicious when paired along with mushrooms above all. The cheese is salty and the yogurt and lime juice balances the flavors. I like to top the mushrooms with hot honey to make it all come together. This dip will be a crowd pleaser and no one will know that it has whipped Feta. You can also skip the mushrooms and garlic and make this a no onion or garlic version and serve it along with other veggies or part of your mezzo platter.
Health Benefits
Feta cheese is low in calories and fat compared to other cheeses. It contains calcium and vitamin B. The greek yogurt adds more protein to this dish and makes a filling and healthy snack. The mushrooms are loaded with antioxidants and are rich in protein and fiber.
Dish History
Whipped Feta has been trending for few years and now it is readily available in the market. During 2020 or Covid times, Baked Feta had its moment and then everyone jumped on the whipped Feta trend. It has been served by itself but why not elevate the dip and serve it along with roasted mushrooms for the perfect bite.
