Raw Mango is tangy and it is a staple in my house. We add it to our bhel or Mumbai Masala Chana as it adds volume, crunch and balances the sweet flavor by adding a tang. This Kairi ki chutney or kache aam ki chutney can be made using just simple ingredients. Even though it is made with simple ingredients, it taste so delicious. It will only take you 5 minutes to make it.
Raw Mango is available 365 days in USA however in India it is only available during the season. There are different types of Raw Mango and special ones that can be used for Achaar. This chutney is so flavorful and pairs so well with many things.
Raw/Green Mango Chutney (Kache Aam ki Chutney)
- 1 cup raw mango diced into pieces
- 1 dry red whole chili
- Salt as needed
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 cloves of garlic
- In a jar add the raw mango pieces diced
- Add the Red chili whole
- Add salt as needed and garlic cloves
- Add water only as needed
- Grind it into thick paste and serve
