The Donut Pub

New York City has so many Donut Shops but The Donut Pub stands out not because its fancy but because they offer good quality Donuts. This a family owned shop that has been around since 1964. The ambiance is a complete diner feel and they have a wall lined up with their fresh Donuts. Their Donut goes in my top 5 dessert list in the city.

The shop on 14th street is 24 hours and yes we have stopped by to pick up Donuts in the middle of night and we had to jump on the line even at that time. They just expanded and opened another store in Astor place that is not 24 hours. They just started carrying vegan Donuts so all the jain and vegan foodies this is the perfect place to visit for you Donut cravings.

They have variety of Donuts but our favorite is their Croissant Donut and Glazed Donut. I always judge a place by their simple donuts, if they can get those right then I am sure they can get any other donuts to taste as good. I have tried their other flavors as well but if you were to ask me I would highly recommend their Croissant Donut as the layers are filled with right amount sugar and it tastes so light and airy. Some of the other flavors that I have tried and liked are cappuccino donut, cookies and cream donut, cannoli filled donut, blueberry donut and french cruller.

If I have friends and family visiting from outside of New York then I make a point to take them here and we have also build birthday cakes with these donuts. My love for this place is real and I highly recommend trying this place.
