If anyone were to ask me, Gup Shup makes it to one of my top 5 Indian restaurant list in Nyc. The ambiance, the fusion food and the service truly makes this restaurant worth visiting.
The ambiance is outstanding, the outdoor and indoor setup is fancy and makes gives you all the fine dine vibes. Please be sure to reserve in advance.
The food here is fusion Indian food and let me tell you the flavors are outstanding. We visited a while ago and had ordered several dishes and each and every dish was flavorful. They have an extensive drink menu and we got Mango Chili Lassi and Fresh Lime Soda. Both drinks were refreshing and tasted just perfect . If you checkout the menu, I love the Mumbai names given to the drinks and dishes. Since it reminded us of Mumbai, we had to order Juhu Beach Vada Pav. The bread and potato filling was on point. I won’t say it was exactly like Mumbai Vada Pav but it tasted delicious. We also got their Onion Chili Cheese Kulcha that tasted spicy and tangy and the cheese enhanced the flavors. The kulcha was cooked to perfection was soft from inside and crispy from outside. We got Jain Paneer Makhani and it was so creamy and delicious, the pieces of paneer was so soft and matched so well with the makhani sauce. Lastly we got the Jackfruit Tacos which was our favorite. I am not a huge jackfruit fan these tacos were one of the best fusion dishes I have eaten. It had the right amount of crunch and the combination in was brilliant. We ended our meal with Gulab Jamun that was so soft and they melted in our moth.
The service was very good, the server was making sure we are enjoying it our food.
Overall if you are looking to celebrate an occasion at a Fusion Indian restaurant in Nyc then this is the place to go.
