Turia Na Chaal ni Chutney

During Monsoon season, many Jains dont eat Cilantro. They end up using other alternative to make chutnyes and Turia peel is one of the most commonly used alternative. Its a perfect replacement for Cilantro and an amazing way to save the peels of the Ridge Gourd. This chutney can be paired along with Dhokla, Muthia and Khakra. Its easy to make and tunrs out so delicious.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup raw peanuts
  • 1 cup Turia peel Ridge Gourd
  • Salt as needed
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1/4 tsp sugar optional
  • 2 ice cubes

Instructions
 

  • Peel the Turia or Ridge gourd
  • Chop the peels into smaller pieces and wash it through
  • In a grinder add peanuts and grind it
  • Once it’s is done add green chilies, salt, cumin powder, turia peel and ice cubes
  • Grind it till it’s a fine paste
  • Enjoy it with Dhokla, Muthia or with Khakra or Bhakri
