1 cup grated paneer

½ cup chopped tomatoes
1 clove garlic, shredded
1 green chili, chopped

¼ tsp cumin seeds
1 pinch asafetida2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp oil
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder
¼ tsp garam masala
For the Sandwich:
4 slices of bread
1 tbsp cilantro chutney

How to Make Paneer Bhurji Sandwiches
- Heat oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a pan over medium heat.
- Add cumin seeds and asafetida. Let them sizzle until aromatic.
- Add garlic and green chili, sauté briefly, then add onions and cook until soft.
- Add bell peppers and tomatoes. Cook until the tomatoes soften and the mixture comes together.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
- Add grated paneer and gently combine. Cook for 2–3 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and mix in chopped cilantro.
- Spread butter on bread slices and apply cilantro chutney if using.
- Place the paneer mixture on one slice and cover with another.
- Toast on a pan or sandwich maker with remaining butter until golden and crisp.
- Cut into triangles or small bite-sized pieces and serve warm.
