Crumpet Sandwich 2 ways
I recently found crumpets at our local grocery store and I was eager to try them. I learned that it is a very common breakfast item in England and they usually pair it with butter. I thought they tasted something in between an English muffin and a Pancake. I made savory and sweet version and both were a huge hit. The Nutella and strawberry’s enhances the taste of crumpets and make it taste so delicious. I added chopped almonds for the crunch and it paired perfectly well with the combo. The cream cheese filling with tomatoes goes so well with the soft crumpets and almost makes it taste like a bagel sandwich. My son who loves his pancakes and nutella loved the sweet version of this sandwich and the savory version was 100% approved by hubby. You can eat them for breakfast or dessert. I can’t wait to make them again. Don’t forget to send me a picture when you do make them
