Chole Chaat

Any one having chaat cravings like me? I love chaats as its light and tasty and can be eaten at any time. Lunch scenes today included most delicious Chana Chaat. I promise it will hit the spot. To make this healthy skip the sev, dal and puri and use Greek yogurt instead. Everyone in my family went crazy for this one and its so easy to may.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup cooked Garbanzo Beans with salt added / 1 can 16oz garbanzo beans
  • 1/2 cup onions diced into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup tomatoes diced into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup raw mango diced into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup fried chana dal optional
  • 1/4 cup crushed wheat flour puri optional
  • 1/4 cup thin sev
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 2 tablespoon pomegranate seeds
  • 2 tablespoon dates tamarind chutney
  • 2 tablespoon cilantro chutney
  • 1 cup yogurt whisked
  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • salt as needed

Instructions
 

  • Whisk the yogurt and add salt and jeera powder to the yogurt
  • In a bowl place the garbanzo beans and add onions, tomatoes, raw mango, chana dal, crushed puri and chaat masala and mix it well
  • Top the garbanzo mixture with whisked yogurt, date-tamarind chutney, cilantro chutney and thin sev.
  • Garnish with chopped cilantro and pomegranate seeds and serve immediately
