Rajma Tikki Chaat

Rajma tikkis are so nutritious and delicious. It can be made for light dinners, snack, school lunchbox or even breakfast. I am sharing a quick and easy recipe for Rajma tikki chaat. The yogurt, chutneys and the sev brightens up the tikkis and takes them to next level. Checkout the recipe below and share this with your friends and family. Ingredients
  

Rajma Tikki

  • 2 cups raw rajma red kidney beans
  • 3/4 cup dry poha
  • salt as needed
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp amchoor powder
  • 2 tablespoon of oil

Chaat

  • 1/4 cup yogurt whisked
  • Salt as needed
  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 2 tablespoon jain chili chutney
  • 2 tsp dates tamarind chutney
  • 1/4 cup thin sev
  • 1 tablespoon fried chana dal

Instructions
 

  • Soak rajma overnight or for few hours
  • Cook them in a pressure cooker and add salt before cooking them
  • Once the rajma are cooked and mushy, strain them and let them sit in a strainer for 15 minutes
  • Mash the rajma, add red chili powder, salt, amchoor powder and garam masala and mix it well
  • Add the poha little by little as needed to bind them. Form pattice
  • Shallow fry the Pattice using oil on medium heat till they are brown on both sides
  • Warm the yogurt for paryushan and whisk yogurt with salt and cumin powder
  • Layer the tikkis with yogurt, red chili chutney, dates tamarind chutney , thin sev and fried chana dal
