Yogurt Sauce
We are fans of Halal carts and Falafel carts in New York City. We have been to so many of them and one thing they all have in common is the white Yogurt Sauce. This sauce enhances the flavors of rice and falafels. We tried and tested this recipe several times past week and it tastes identical to the food carts. This yogurt sauce is so versatile and it pairs so well with sandwiches, kebabs, paneer, salads, wraps, falafels and rice. My son enjoyed this sauce as a side with savory pancakes. The sauce stores so well in the refrigerator for 2-3 weeks.Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup greek yogurt
- 1/2 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- salt as needed
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Whisk together mayo and greek yogurt and then add all the seasonings, lemon juice and vinegar and mix it all together Can be stored in the Fridge for 2-3 weeksNotes
