Let’s make Tricolor Waffles to celebrate India. Born and raised in India, Republic Day meant a lot.  Every year on this day we would have a day off from school and go to school to hoist the flag along with our friends. I played in school band and we would start practicing the national songs from few weeks. After getting together in school, while my friends and I played the band, the rest of the students would March around the school building. We would end with hoisting the flag 🇮🇳 and all the students would salute the flag.

We would return home and watch the parade. In evening dad would drive us around the city, especially Churchgate station, VT station and Marine Lines to see all the buildings lit up in the Indian Flag colors. These memories will always stay in my  heart.

Tricolor Waffles | Indian Waffles

Tri Color waffles are simple rava waffles with 3 colors. I combined spinach and carrot to make these waffles. They came together quickly and can be made for school lunches. I like to include proteins sun veggies in my lunchboxes and in this case we are including yogurt and spinach and carrots. They are healthy and taste super delicious. Enjoy them by them self or along with chutney.
