Born and raised in jain family Raw Banana or kacha kela was a staple ingredient. It was used to replace the potatoes in many dishes. Even today for my mother in law we make jain samosas, pattice or other delicacies using raw Banana. It is very similar to potato and works well in most dishes that require potatoes. I have learned many dishes over the years that can be made with it. Today I am sharing an easy recipe for these Mini Kela Bites and I have chosen to cook them with less oil and they turn out just as crunchy and delicious.

Kacha Kela Bites
Kacha Kela Bites, this simple recipe can be served as an appetizer for jains during Diwali party or it can be made during Navratri o or Shravan Mahino. It’s tangy, spicy and so delicious. I like to enjoy them with chutney and few of these fills you up. I send them to school the other day and my son loved it.
