The Crispy Tofu Wrap is perfect way to enjoy balanced meal. It is high in protein and contain veggies and carbs. The crunchy texture from the tofu and soft from lavash bread is a good combo. These are vegan and contain lots of flavors from the red peppers aioli sauce.
Crispy Tofu Wrap
Are you looking for a healthy recipe to begin your 2023, then look no further and try out this delicious and healthy Crispy Tofu Wrap. It can be made super quickly and tastes so delicious. I like to pack them up so I can take take them to work for lunches. This wrap fills me up and it is loaded with veggies and protein
Ingredients
Crispy Tofu
- 1/2 block of extra firm tofu cut into long strips
- Salt as needed
- 1/2 tsp of red chili flakes
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- 2 tablespoon rice flour
- 1/4 cup water more as needed
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
For the Wraps
- 2 lavash bread
- 4 leaves of iceberg or butter lettuce
- 8 slices of thinly sliced green peppers
- 4 tablespoon of red pepper aioli google red pepper aioli Vspiceroute
- 1/2 cup sliced onions
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 sliced jalapeños optional
Instructions
- Slice the tofu into long strips
- In a bowl whisk together rice flour, water, black pepper powder, red chili flakes and salt
- Lay the Bread crumbs in a flat plate
- Dip the tofu in the rice flour mixture and then coat it with bread crumbs
- Heat oil on a flat pan
- Cook the tofu till it is crispy on all sides
- Warm the lavash bread
- Layer the lavash bread with Red Pepper Aioli
- Cover a section on one side with lettuce leaves, crispy tofu, sliced onions, sliced peppers and jalapeños
- Drizzle 1 tablespoon of the red pepper aioli if desired
- Garnish with chopped cilantro
- Fold the wrap into a roll and then you can pack it in a foil
