Crispy Air Fried Aloo Chaat

Even though I never follow Chaitra Navratri, I grew up with so many friends who followed it. During those 9 days they would crave to eat something spicy and tangy and what can hit those taste buds better than a chaat. So presenting to you all Crispy Airfried Aloo Chaat. This lip smacking chaat will leave you craving for more. You don’t even need a reason to make this chaat if you are someone like me. The crunch from potatoes and the yogurt and chutneys in one bite tastes like heaven on earth.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 large potatoes 2 cups diced
  • 1 tsp amchoor powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • rock salt as needed
  • 1 tsp roasted jeera powder
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tsp tamarind dates chutney
  • 2 tsp cilantro chutney
  • water for boiling
  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil
  • 1 tablespoon pomegranate seeds
  • 1 tsp chopped cilantro

Instructions
 

  • Peel and boil potatoes in salted water
  • Take them out after they are half cooked and shock them with cold water and dry them well
  • Dice the potatoes
  • Preheat the Air Fryer or Oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Season them with red chili powder, amchoor powder, salt and black pepper powder
  • Coat them well with oil
  • Air Fry the potatoes in oven for 20 minutes or till the they are crispy
  • Prep yogurt by whisking it and add roasted jeera powder and salt
  • Lay crispy potatoes on a serving plate
  • Top with prepped yogurt
  • Top with cilantro chutney
  • Top with tamarind dates chutney
  • Sprinkle pomegranate seeds
  • Garnish with cilantro
