Stir Fry Idlis | Indo Chinese Idli

My son always wants something different in his lunchbox. He is fond of Asian food so the other day when I had leftover Idlis, I decided to give it an Asian twist and he was in love. The lunchbox came back empty and I knew I had to share this recipe with you all. Checkout this quick and easy recipe below that I am sure you will love .

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups leftover mini idilis or whole Idli cut into pieces
  • Salt as needed
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil or any other oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped broccoli
  • 1/2 cup chopped carrots
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1 tsp sriracha optional
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup diced scallions optional

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a wok or a wide pan
  • Add the sesame seeds and let it sizzle
  • Add the diced veggies and salt and let the veggies cook till it softens a little
  • Add the soy sauce and vinegar and mix it well
  • Add the leftover Idlis
  • In a bowl mix corn flour or corn starch with water till it completely dissolved and add it to the Idlis
  • Toss it all together till uniform mixture and water is absorbed
  • Garnish with chopped scallions and pack it in lunch box
