Pakka Keda (Banana) nu Shaak

Pakka keda nu shak is an underrated shak. The combination of spicy masala along with sweet bananas simmered together is so good. It’s simple and so delicious. I also like to use up my ripe bananas before it gets spoiled by making this shak. Checkout the recipe below

Ingredients
  

  • 2 bananas sliced into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 pinch asafetida powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt as needed
  • 1 tsp cumin coriander powder
  • 1/4 cup water or more as needed

Instructions
 

  • Slice the ripe bananas
  • Heat oil in a pan on medium heat
  • Add mustard seeds and asafetida powder
  • Add the bananas and mix it
  • Add the red chili powder, turmeric powder and cumin coriander powder and water and let it simmer
  • Add salt and mix it and serve immediately with hot chapatis or rice
